What a place!
We arrived and the place was full, but the hostess invited us to have a seat on the side until a table opened up; we perused the menu and ordered while we waited.
The menu was available in English and the hostess spoke to us in english as well. Always welcome!
I ordered the Aglio E Olio, which was supposed to come with pepperoni, olive oil and garlic. I was pretty confused when the pasta was full of peppers. Comparing the English and German Menus, it looks like they translated “peperoni” to “pepperoni” instead of “hot peppers”. Regardless, the dish was excellent. The sauce perfectly coated the spaghetti, which had a great chewy texture. It would have been better with pepperoni, and perhaps a slightly bigger size, but I would absolutely get it again.
We also got a salami pizza. We’ve been in Vienna for a couple months and had a half dozen pizzas or so, and this one by far was the best we have had! Toppings tasted good, but the standout was the nice, chewy crust.
Service was excellent and the washrooms pristine. Kids got some free gummy candies at the end which they loved. I wish this place was closer to our house, but will definitely stop in when we are in the...
Read moreMezzaluna is a gem. Hidden in the contemporary and busy busy hotels and businesses of hauptbahnhof, it is a great place for a quiet and cozy meal
We order from them all the time and enjoy going over for a meal in house. The outside area is spacious and shaded during the summer. Inside it is quite small but very cozy and charming.
The menu is straight to the point but everything is super yummy and made right in front of your eyes. Pizzas are quite delicious and all accompaniments are up to snuff. Tiramisu and pannacotta are scrumptious. Fair warning though, the piccolo salad is not piccolo at all ;))))
Service is quick and pleasant.
Great place for a bite and if you're ordering delivery, take advantage of their menu deal.
Prices are hard to beat. 10/10, my favorite...
Read moreThe small restaurant itself was nicely decorated and gives the customer a nice feeling entering as it doesn't look like an average take-aeway pizzeria. The prices in comparison to the food are very affordable. But as soon as I tried the margherita i had ordered I was bitterly disappointed. The crust was very slim, which isn't generally a negative point, but it was totally drenched because of the layers of dripping cheese it had on it. There was close to no tomato sauce or any herbs on the pizza so most of the taste of the wattery pizza was the cheese. Sadly the cheese for me personally didn't have a nice taste at all and it was just too much so basically the negative review comes from my experience with the pizza they made. I can't tell how the other dishes are, maybe those...
