Views from the Quieter Side of Waikīkī 🌊🌴🏨

We booked the Park Shore Waikīkī through Booking.com for our first visit to Hawaii after a 14-day cruise from French Polynesia. Taking an Uber from the Honolulu cruise port to the hotel was quick and convenient. We arrived around 10 a.m.—much earlier than standard check-in—but were warmly welcomed almost immediately by General Manager Matthew. He was incredibly hospitable, showed genuine interest in getting to know us, and truly cared about our comfort. To our delight, a room was already available, and we were able to check in right away! Our room was clean, comfortable, and offered stunning, unobstructed views of Diamond Head and the beautiful Waikīkī Beach. Plus, the hotel is located in a less crowded part of Waikīkī known as Kūhiō Beach—where surfers, bodyboarders, and sandy shores create a vibrant yet relaxed atmosphere. 🏄‍♂️🌺 Hotel amenities include complimentary beach gear from a nearby rental company. We enjoyed the pool terrace, which also overlooks the beach. The Honolulu Zoo is directly across the street—a perfect 3-hour stroll among a wonderful variety of animals. 🦁🐾 With so many dining options within walking distance, it was hard to choose! There’s also a convenience store nearby for snacks, drinks, and souvenirs.
