Visited Middle Child in Philly!
š„Ŗ Middle Child š 248 S 11th St, Philadelphia, PA 19107 I went to the Center City location, but there's also one in Fishtown. š³ Taste Experience: I ordered The Hershel, one of the two breakfast sandwiches. The difference between The Hershel and the basic one is that The Hershel has corned beef but no arugula. The bread is rye, while the basic one uses potato bread. The Hershel is $13.5, and the basic one is $10.5. Both come with thick-cut eggs and cheese. I asked the staff if I could add arugula, and they said yes, for free! I chose The Hershel because many people recommended the corned beef, but personally, I thought it was just okay. It didn't have a strong meaty aroma and was slightly salty. However, the thick-cut eggs were lightly seasoned, so the overall taste was balanced. The eggs with cheese were very satisfying, and the arugula added a unique fragrance. I think next time I might try the basic one with added avocado. Adding avocado costs an extra $3, making it the same price as The Hershel, but I feel it would be more satisfying. šŖ Store Ambiance: The store is small with limited seating. The American retro green decor is something I really love, and it even matched my outfit today. It feels like a place that can add a touch of color to life. From the food to the staff to the decor, everything is simple and cheerful, as if it stamped green polka dots on my otherwise dull, blank-paper life. I also thank myself for not procrastinating and going out to explore when I felt like it. So, I am also a simple and cheerful green polka dot! #Philly #PhillyFood #PhillyExplore
