The Egyptian flag carrier, founded in 1932 and a member of the Star Alliance network, will offer daily nonstop service from New York to Cairo, giving passengers a seamless connection between the U.S. and Egypt. The move makes EGYPTAIR the sixth Star Alliance member to commit to the state-of-the-art terminal. Currently under construction, The New Terminal One is the centerpiece of JFK’s $19 billion redevelopment plan by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Built on the site of the former Terminals 1, 2, and 3, the massive 2.6-million-square-foot terminal will be the largest at JFK when fully complete in 2030. Opening in phases, the first stage—including 14 new gates and brand-new arrivals and departures halls—will debut in 2026. By 2030, the terminal will feature 23 gates, more than 300,000 square feet of lounges, dining, and retail, plus naturally lit public spaces designed to elevate the travel experience.
