Vladimir — A Scenic Small Town with Unique Charm

✨ I visited Vladimir during Easter 2023 and was lucky enough to witness the Easter Cross Procession that I had only read about in textbooks! 📍 Bogolyubovo Monastery near Vladimir — where Andrey, son of Yuri Dolgoruky, was assassinated… 🤴 📍 Church of the Intercession on the Nerl — reached by hiking across a vast meadow. We were fortunate that the snow had completely melted, making the walk easy while enjoying streams and puddles formed by the melting snow 💧💙 📍 A beautiful café on Vladimir’s pedestrian street — the window seats offer a perfect view of the cathedral ⛪️ 📍 Leisurely pedestrian street 🛍️ 📍 Adorable Honey Cake Museum — where you can sign up for a chocolate-making workshop 🍫 📍 Dormition Cathedral, Golden Gate, Vladimir Museum (and our super knowledgeable tour guide 👨🏼‍🏫) 📍 Easter Cross Procession — We happened to be in Vladimir during Easter, so we made sure to be at the cathedral in the evening to observe the cross procession ✝️ ✨ Our hotel had a perfect location — right on the main street, just a 5-10 minute walk from the cathedral.
