Vyborg | A Fairytale Town Filled with the Aroma of Summer Pretzels 🥨
📍Take the train from St. Petersburg to Vyborg 🌟Note: Depart from Finland Station (Финляндский вокзал) in St. Petersburg! ☁️The weather has been gloomy lately in St. Petersburg, with rain and chilly temperatures. Bring an umbrella and a jacket! 🎫Train tickets can be purchased online or offline. To save time, we booked round-trip tickets directly via the Y.Trains app. However, you’ll need a Russian bank card for online purchases. Seriously, a local bank card is essential here—highly recommend getting one! 💳 🕐We took the 9 AM express train, which takes about an hour. Our main goal was to visit the popular restaurant TaBepHa. We booked the return train for 6 PM, which gave us plenty of time to explore Vyborg leisurely. 🍽️Restaurant TaBepHa We arrived early and lined up before it opened at noon. Many tourists were already waiting. The slow service wasn’t due to diners lingering—it’s just how they operate. If you’re not a fan of traditional Russian flavors, we highly recommend the Smoked Meat Chowder 🍲—we devoured every bite! The grilled chicken wings were decent, but the oyster fried rice and beef stew soup were just okay. 🌲Vyborg is small, so we didn’t plan specific sights. Wander around, and you’ll naturally circle landmarks like the White Tower and other charming spots. ‼️Heads up: Return to the station early! The train back had no reserved seating, so we ended up standing the whole way. It gets crowded, especially in the evening! #Vyborg #VyborgTravel #StPetersburg #RussiaTravel #TravelGuide #TravelDiaries #Photography
