Waikīkī Sunset Stay 🌅

Our first vacation to Oʻahu was spent at the Waikīkī Sunset in Room 1004. I found the room to be comfortable, relaxing, and family-friendly 🏡—close to the beach, ABC Stores, and plenty of food options 🏖️🛍️🍽️. Being able to prepare breakfast daily helped me stick to our food budget, especially since we were traveling with 4 adults and 1 child 🍳. I did most of my grocery shopping at Walmart 🛒. The room was stocked with cleaning supplies, paper towels, 2 rolls of toilet paper, and Tide Pods. I also requested a free and comfortable air mattress for my young daughter, which was provided 🛏️. Here’s what I bought from the grocery store: rice, eggs, coffee, creamer, 4 gallons of water, bottled water, pancake mix, syrup, bananas, Portuguese sausage, juice, cleaning spray, paper plates, paper towels, and toilet paper. (I bought cleaning products not knowing some were already provided—so it’s probably best to settle in first before heading to the store!) 🧼 It was less than a 10-minute walk to Waikīkī Beach, with an ABC Store along the way—super handy for snacks or anything you might need quickly 🍍🥤. The area has plenty of restaurants and shops. Since Waikīkī Sunset is located at the quieter end of Waikīkī, there was less noise and traffic—a big plus! 🚶‍♀️🌴 At the end of our trip, I borrowed a luggage cart to help load our vehicle. We even brought a pineapple back from Hawaiʻi to California—highly recommend you do the same! 🍍✈️ I’d give it 4 out of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐, as they only provided 1 roll of paper towels, 2 rolls of toilet paper, and 2 dish towels.
