wansea ~ My Favorite UK City

I visited Swansea last New Year's Day 🎆, and today I'm feeling nostalgic so here goes! When I first arrived in the UK, I met someone studying at Swansea University 🎓, and ever since then, I'd been dreaming of going. Swansea—which translates to "Swan's Sea" 🦢🌊—is such a poetic name for this gem of a coastal city in Wales 🏴 (where they even have their own language - say "Diolch!" to blend in 😉). The train from London 🚂 takes about four hours - perfect for a mini roadtrip playlist! I spent three magical days there: Day 1: Explored the city center 🏙️. Almost all the attractions are along one street (easy peasy!), and our hotel—Village Hotel—was super close. 5/5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Only £20 for two people, with a spacious room, two comfy beds 🛏️🛏️, a sofa AND TV 📺. Absolute steal for the UK! Day 2: Took an early bus 🚌 to Rhossili Bay (aka heaven on earth 🌍). Only one bus goes there from the city center (~1hr+ ride—check the timetable tho, it's not frequent! ⏰). After getting off, follow the path along the cliffs (watch your step for sheep poop 🐑💩, lol!). But OMG the view? Mind-blowing! 🤯 The dramatic cliffs meeting the endless sea gave me all the feels - so different from back home! Got back around 2 PM ⏳ and refueled at a Chinese restaurant (name's fuzzy but it's next to Joe's Ice Cream 🍦- a Welsh MUST!). The roast duck 🦆 was decent (not China-level but hits the spot!). Day 3: Blissful walk along Swansea Bay 🌊 (could've sat on those benches with someone special forever 😍💕), then wandered through a park 🌳 to Swansea University 🎓 (may or may not have snuck in to charge my phone 📱😆). Before leaving, I spotted the most elegant elderly lady 👵 at a café near the station - total stylegoals! Why Swansea stole my heart: Charming & laid-back 😌 (no big-city stress!)
