This hotel is right across from the famous Cemetery No. 1 β°οΈ. Our room offered a direct view over the historic graves - and we absolutely loved it! The room was spacious, incredibly clean, and full of unique character π«. The vintage charm combined with modern comforts made it truly special. (I personally found the cemetery view fascinating and poetic πΉ, but if you're not comfortable with that, not all rooms face that direction - so no worries! π) A special shout-out to Mr. Gregory at the front desk - he was incredibly friendly, helpful, and had such a wonderful personality π€. We genuinely enjoyed our conversations with him! His local recommendations were spot-on too. The building itself is a converted old train station π, making the lobby anything but ordinary! It's filled with historical details and architectural charm. If you're a train enthusiast, this place will absolutely delight you! The location is perfect - within easy walking distance to the French Quarter π, yet far enough away to escape the constant noise and crowds. You get the best of both worlds!
