We award Honu Oceanside 1st Place š Best meal of a lifetime. We had an early dinner reservation and were seated quickly. Had a view of the big waves while we read the menusāwatching the white foam crash against the shore made even choosing dishes feel like a treat š. There was a big wine list we didnāt need (we were too focused on the main courses!), but our server was amazing at answering questions about food preparations and wine pairingsāsuper patient even with our silly ācan we skip the spice?ā asks.š š„© The lilikoi lemon drop (so fresh and fruity, like a sunny sip!) and my wine arrived quicklyāno awkward waiting around. For a starter, we ordered ahi meatballs, and they were incredibleājuicy tuna packed into tender balls, with a tangy tomato sauce that made us clean the plate in minutes. Then came the mains: the braised beef (fall-off-the-fork tender, soaked in rich sauce!) and the filet pepper corn beefāthe best steak Iāve ever eaten. Better than the top steakhouse in London weād visited before! Every bite was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and the black pepper crust added just the right kick.š šØš³This restaurant has a watchful owner (we saw hišm check in on tables nonstop!) and an attentive managerāthey really care about how youāre enjoying the meal. Weāll be back soon, and itāll be hard not to order the peppercorn filet again⦠though their gluten free Italian flour pizza sounded tempting (next time, weāre saving room!). šThe restaurant was busy, but we had great serviceāno waiting for refills, no forgotten requestsāand every bite was delicious.
