Weekend Getaway | Who Knew New Orleans Was This Delicious? đŸ”„đŸ”„

We decided on a last-minute trip to New Orleans for a few days, and just wandering around, eating and drinking to our hearts’ content was pure happiness 😭. This city is perfect for visiting with zero plans—total bliss! 🍮 Must-Try Eats Boil Seafood House Is there anyone who doesn’t love hand-cracked seafood? Trust me, order the Boil House flavor—it’s a mix of Caribbean, Cajun, and Garlic Butter, and the aroma is insane! Next time, I want to try Big Ez Seafood too. The Pelican Club A beautiful, tasty French restaurant right in the heart of the French Quarter. Their grilled oysters are rich with buttery garlic, and the lamb chops are incredibly tender. The portions are huge—what they serve as one portion here could easily be sold as two separate dishes in New York
no joke. Peche Seafood Grill A fantastic seafood spot! The main course drum fish is a winner 👍—dip the toasted bread in its sauce, and it just gets more and more appetizing. The Steak Tartare also has a fresh, crisp texture that’s super refreshing. Cafe Beignet vs. Cafe Du Monde Beignets are New Orleans’ signature treat—my friend calls them “giant fried dough sticks,” but they’re basically French donuts. Both are popular spots, but I personally prefer Cafe Beignet (the Bourbon Street location). They have live Jazz performances, so the vibe is unbeatable! Their Lobster Risotto and Omelette are great too. Pro tip: Cafe Du Monde is cash-only. Acme Oyster House This place has over 10,000 ratings on maps, and it lives up to the hype! Both raw and grilled oysters are amazing. We also tried New Orleans’ famous Po-Boys sandwich—stuffed with fried oysters and shrimp, it’s so satisfying you’ll be full for hours. Pluck Wine Bar & Restaurant A super intimate wine bar! We ordered a white wine with notes of cream cheese, and it was so good, my friend almost took the empty bottle home with her 😝. The Carousel Bar & Lounge The whole bar spins like a carousel—totally worth a visit for the novelty! Their Pimm’s Cup is delicious: it tastes sweet and light at first, but wow, the kick hits hard later 😅. đŸŽ¶ & 🏹 Bonus Tips Jazz Lovers, Don’t Miss Preservation Hall If you love Jazz, you have to catch a show here! In the off-season, you can buy tickets the same day. In summer, they perform at a new, super upscale venue—and let me tell you, it’s nothing like the Jazz you hear on the streets or in bars. It’s absolutely (stunning)! Hotel Recommendation: The Ritz Carlton It’s a 5-minute walk from the French Quarter, has live Jazz in the lounge at night, and is beautiful with top-notch service. #NewOrleans #NewOrleansFood #NewOrleansTravel #USATravel #WeekendGetaway
