🌿 Wehr Nature Center Adventure in Wisconsin 🌳🐿️

This weekend, I visited Wehr Nature Center with my sketching group. It was my first time there, and it felt so fresh and fun! The nature center is located in Franklin, Wisconsin, and is part of the Milwaukee County Parks. It’s about a 20-minute drive from downtown. Nestled within Whitnall Park, it’s surrounded by a golf course and the beautiful Boerner Botanical Garden. 🚗💨 Admission is free — you only need to pay a $5 parking fee (cash or card accepted!). There are three main hiking trails here, and some areas are ADA accessible, making it welcoming for all visitors. It was a bit chilly that day, so I stayed mostly near the main building. But if you venture farther, you’ll find a waterfall and a lovely lakeside trail. Nature lovers could easily spend a whole day here! 🌲💧 I’d recommend wearing hiking shoes or waterproof boots, especially after rain. The park offers restrooms, benches, and other convenient facilities. Don’t forget to check out the nature store — you might find some cute souvenirs! 🛍️✨ In the summer, the center hosts lots of events. If you’re interested, be sure to look them up online. Here are their official website and related links for contact info, maps, events, and educational resources: #NatureCenter #Nature #TravelInspiration #TravelIdeas #TravelRecommendations 🌎❤️
