Gold Coast Whale Watching 🐳 3-Day Chill Itinerary & Transportation Guide Day 1: ✈️ Sydney - Gold Coast Airport (14:10-15:30) 🏨 The Peninsula Gold Coast (Surfers Paradise 🏄) 🚌 It’s recommended to buy a transit card. At Gold Coast Airport, go to WHSmith at Carousel 2 to purchase a Go Explore Card. ⚠️ There are 2 types of Go Explore Cards: 1️⃣ Day Pass: $10 AUD for 1 day, no card fee or deposit, unlimited rides (cost-effective if you plan to use public transport extensively in one day). 2⃣️ Regular Card: Pay a deposit, top up funds, and fares are deducted per trip (deposit and unused balance are refundable; available in Gold Coast or at Brisbane Airport’s train station). ❗️ It’s harder to hail a taxi from Gold Coast Airport to the city, so buses are faster. ❗️ Tap your card when boarding and alighting buses. ❗️ For trams, tap in on the platform before boarding and tap out after alighting. ❗️ Press the button to open bus doors—drivers won’t stop otherwise. 🚌 Take bus 777 to Burleigh Beach (we booked a table at The Tropic, Jay Chou’s favorite restaurant 🍴). If not dining, take the bus directly to Broadbeach South (terminus), then transfer to a tram 🚃 or taxi to your hotel 🏨 based on your needs. Day 2: 8:00-10:15: Sea World Whale Watching 🐳 Ferry (book tickets online in advance, ~433 RMB/person; arrive at Sea World Marina by 7:30 to queue for boarding). Must-see! Feel the power of nature! The vitality of leaping whales 🐳 almost brought me to tears. 10:30-12:30: SkyPoint (observation deck with Gold Coast views; book tickets in advance ~178 RMB/person. Lunch is available here—burgers and fries, but the taste is mediocre). Afternoon: 🆓 Free time 1⃣️ Stay near Surfers Paradise 🏄 and choose water activities based on your preferences. 2⃣️ Shop at nearby outlets (Levi’s is cheaper than in Sydney; slimmer girls can check out kids’ large sizes—30% cheaper!). Day 3: Since we’re returning in the evening, take luggage 🧳 before morning activities. 🚌 Hotel - Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary: ~1 hour Morning: Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary (opens 09:00–16:00) 🎫 Sanctuary ticket + koala cuddle: ~360 RMB/person 1⃣️ The sanctuary has luggage storage for $5 AUD. Cuddling koalas 🐨 requires a separate fee—no cuddles without it. 2⃣️ Half a day at the sanctuary is enough. Leave around 1 PM for Brisbane Airport ✈️ (allow ~4 hours for waiting and travel time). 3⃣️ If staying near Surfers Paradise, don’t miss the sunrise 🌄 in the morning—it’s stunning! 22:50 Depart from Brisbane Airport #Whale #Australia #GoldCoast #Brisbane #WhaleWatching #AustraliaTravel
