What are the fun things to do in Negombo?

I’ve lived in Sri Lanka for 8 years, all in Negombo. Actually, there’s a lot to do in Negombo. Alright, let’s get to the point.😁😁 😊Negombo in Sri Lanka is a beautiful tourist destination with plenty of interesting activities and attractions for visitors. 🎪 Here are some recommended things to do:🌤️ - Negombo Lagoon: One of Sri Lanka’s largest lagoons, where visitors can rent a boat to paddle across the water, enjoying the stunning views and beautiful sunsets.🌴 - Fish🐟 Market: Negombo is famous for its diverse seafood. Tourists can visit the local fish market to learn about Sri Lanka’s important fishing culture and taste fresh seafood. 🦐 (The fish market is a fantastic place. Many people are put off by the fishy smell, but for us food lovers, it’s paradise—having a few meals here almost makes the plane ticket worthwhile!) There are also some impressive scenes of dried fish being laid out to dry, but I’m too lazy to upload pictures of that.🖼️🖼️ - Angurukaramulla Temple: An ancient Buddhist temple with ornate interiors, housing numerous Buddha statues and murals. 🌨️ Visitors can experience unique religious culture here.⚡ - Dutch Canal (Heritage Museum): This museum showcases the history of Sri Lanka’s fishing boats, allowing visitors to learn about the evolution of fishing vessels from the past to the present.🏠 😘😘- Muthurajawela Marsh: A charming wetland reserve protecting various plant and animal species.
