What Does the Inside of the Washington State Government Office ?
For the last field trip of fifth grade, we set off early in the morning to visit the Olympia State Capitol. The great weather, orderly arrangements, and a team photographer accompanying us to capture the perfect end to fifth grade life. 😊 As a chapter one participant, I went along with the team too, and it was my first time stepping into the Capitol building. 🌟 The Washington State Government Office Building is primarily located in the capital city of Olympia. The most prominent building is the Washington State Capitol, also known as the Legislative Building, which looks a bit like the White House. It’s part of the Capitol Campus, which includes several buildings for government activities. ❤️ The Legislative Building is famous for its unique dome, which is the fourth highest masonry dome in the world and the tallest in North America! 🌍 Completed in 1928, the building features a classical revival style design with magnificent granite and sandstone on the exterior, and the interior is adorned with marble and decorative metalwork. Other important buildings on the campus include the Temple of Justice, which houses the Washington State Supreme Court, and the Governor’s Office. There are also various monuments and public art works commemorating significant events and figures in Washington’s history. ❤️ The Washington State Government handles all state administrative functions within these buildings, including legislation, law enforcement, education, and public welfare. The Capitol Campus is not only a center for political activities but also a historical site and tourist attraction, open for public visits. If you’re interested in visiting Olympia, you can make an appointment to see it. 📅 ❤️ With a group of 150 kids, professional guides led us in groups to visit and explain each room. The children also had lunch in a special lunch room there, with a well-organized schedule and thoughtful personnel distribution. 🍽️ #SeattleLife #AroundSeattle #Olympia #SeattleWeekend #USPublicSchoolFieldTrip #ElementarySchoolLife #FieldTrip #CulturalSights #SeattleCulture #SeattleArchitecture
