What I Ate in New York ๐
๐ Sonnyboy ๐ดA brunch spot I came to after seeing countless recommendations. ๐ Bread ๐ฅช: I came for the fig toast, but it didnโt live up to the hype. It tasted bland, and the figs seemed more for decoration than flavor. Eggs ๐ฅ: The shakshuka was decent, but nothing I couldnโt make at home. Harissa ๐ฅฌ: This was a whirlwind egg, similar to scrambled eggs, with an added touch of salmon. The accompanying vegetable salad was quite tasty! In summary, it didnโt meet my expectations. Nothing was bad, but nothing was exceptionally good either. Itโs worth a visit if youโre in the area, but be prepared for long waits on weekend mornings! Reservations are highly recommended. We arrived at 1 p.m. and waited for a full hour. ๐ด For LA folks, check out the brunch at Republique and Sqirl! ๐ด #NewYork #NYCEats #BrunchAdventures ๐
