What Runners Eat in Acadia

1. Portland 📌 Becky‘s Diner Miraculously, we walked in at 5 PM on a weekday with no wait! We ordered a lobster roll, fisherman’s platter, and blueberry pancake. It was good, but not that mind-blowing 😐. Also, I couldn’t help but feel some of the fried seafood wasn’t super fresh—what’s up with that? 📌 Gelato Fiasco Loved it, loved it, loved it! 😄 Two small cups were practically overflowing. The pistachio caramel and mint chocolate flavors were both delicious—way better than the gelato at Eataly! 📌 ISF Trading We got salted sea urchin, a sashimi set, and sweet shrimp served with rice and nori. The staff cafeteria upstairs had sushi vinegar, soy sauce, wasabi, and tea. The uni was so sweet—pure, simple joy! 🩐 📌 Holy Donut I’m obsessed with donuts, so I have to get them wherever I go! We tried the old-fashioned (tastes like fried dough, but I love it) and toasted coconut (super sweet, but I still love it) đŸ©. 2. Ellsworth 📌 Thai Sana The restaurant is small and has limited seating—we waited a long time, but the owner was really nice and gave us free drinks and ragoons! We ordered drunken noodles and duck teriyaki. Maybe it’s because we were starving, but it tasted amazing! 🍜 🌟🌟🌟 Momo‘s Cheesecake A hidden gem we found near our accommodation! It’s open 24 hours with self-service payment—absolute heaven for someone like me who eats dessert like a meal đŸ„°. There are four or five large freezers full of flavors, and none of them could possibly be bad. You can even leave your pin and a message there—it’s such a warm, cozy spot! Next to it is the owner’s kitchen and garden, plus a super friendly cat. A slice costs $8.50; I got maple bacon pecan and pistachio
I was so greedy—I wanted to try every single one! 😭 3. Acadia 📌 Travelin Lobster There was a line, but it moved fast. We got the 1.5lb lobster dinner, blueberry pie with ice cream, and clam chowder. Their blueberry ice cream was a hit, and the lobster was really sweet and fresh—dipping it in melted butter was pure happiness! 🩞 But a single serving didn’t seem enough to fill me up
I ended up eating roast chicken when I got back, honestly. 📌 Homemade Snacks + Water We didn’t eat anything else in Acadia—survived the whole time on bagels, fruit, and cold brew ☕. After a few days, we also started to get a little “lobster fatigue”! #Acadia #AcadiaNationalPark #AcadiaFood #AcadiaGuide #Maine #MaineTravel #BostonArea
