What to Eat at Green Bazaar?š¤ Amazing, Budget-Friendly Local Eateries
1.Iāve visited Green Bazaar countless timesāwandered, snacked, and explored for days, and Iāve found the most affordable, delicious, and never-disappointing local spots!ā Sharing them here with their menus (sort of) translated. 2.Green Bazaar feels just like a huge version of our local markets back homeāloads of veggies, meats, fruits, and clothes. Honestly, not much to ātreasure huntā for, but the first-floor stalls and alleyway vendors sell typical goods.š 3.Almatyās costs arenāt lowāmeals, stays, transport add up, and bigger restaurants even charge service fees.š° Thatās why these little eateries are gems: on the bazaarās second floor (a few separate spots) and one on the first. 4.First spot: Up the left stairs on the second floor. Menus are on walls and tablesāuse a translator!š Most dishes are 1400 KZT (around 20 RMB) for massive portions. I always leave stuffed. 5.My go-tos: Plov (a bit dry but huge) or mashed potatoes + lamb soup with riceā*this soup rice is incredible*, trust me, never disappoints! The owner serves free teašµ, and thereās free bread on tables to grabāperfect if youāre still hungry.š 6.Second pick: On the first floor (pic 4). Plov is similar everywhere, but their fried noodles shine.š Menus were confusing via translator, but food pics outside make ordering easy (pic 5). 7.There are a few other eateries on the second floorāworth checking out too!š 8.Hours: 9:00ā19:00 Tue-Sun (closed Mon). Eat earlyārestaurants start closing after 5 PM for cleanup.ā° #AlmatyTravelGuide #AlmatyTravel #AlmatyFood #Kazakhstan #KazakhstanTravel
