What to Eat in Anchorage & Fairbanks 😋 📍 Anchorage 1️⃣ Jimmy’s Asian Food Restaurant Boiled beef with chili oil, sour cabbage fish, spicy chicken, dan dan noodles, and various sushi… nothing disappointed 🍜🍣✨ (Just didn’t take photos 📵). 2️⃣ Moose's Tooth Pub & Pizzeria Reportedly one of the top three pizzerias in the U.S. 🍕🏆 Of course we had to try it! Smoked Alaska Sockeye Salmon Spread was tasty 👍🏻👍🏻 We picked Hawaiian and mushroom pizzas—good, but not sure where the “top three” ranking comes from 🤣. 3️⃣ Glacier Brewhouse The beers looked great 🍺 (you can buy them to go). Simple The Best Calamari was too greasy 😵 Bering Sea King Crab Leg — seems like a different species from Pump House’s, not as fresh and sweet 🦀 Maja Fish Taco was just okay 🌮 Blackened Alaska Rockfish was decent 🐟 4️⃣ Wild Scoops A super delicious local ice cream shop 🍦 Olive Lemon and Orange Double Chocolate were interesting flavors worth trying 🍊🍫 Baked Alaska Cone — ice cream topped with torched marshmallow, so yummy!! 🔥🍭 DIY Snow Man — choose your flavor and build your own snowman ⛄️✌️ 📍 Fairbanks 1️⃣ Pump House Restaurante & Saloon Steamed King Crab — delicious, fresh, and sweet 🦀✨ Seafood Chowder — very good 🥣 Blackened Alaska Halibut — alright 🐟 2️⃣ Aurora Crepes & Peking Duck No photos 😅, but the Peking duck crepe was tasty 🦆🌯 Heads up! Their “crepe combo” is all Chinese-style crepes (jianbing)… We thought it was a “Peking duck wrap combo,” but got three full jianbing sets instead—a full-on jianbing feast 🙃. 3️⃣ The Crepery Fairbanks’ famous crepe shop 🥞 — must try! Whip-Cream and Berries — so creamy and fragrant! 🍓🍦 Brie, Figs and Honey — with melted cheese, crispy and fragrant 🧀🍯 Savory crepes are also highly recommended, though we didn’t try them 🧂. 4️⃣ Seoul Gate Restaurant A very pleasant surprise for Korean food! Really tasty (MSG generously used 😆). Jajangmyeon (black bean noodles), beef short rib soup, and pan-fried cod are all recommended 🍜🐟🔥 Sweet and Sour Pork was the only letdown 💣 — tried to mimic sweet and sour pineapple pork, but a total fail 🍍😭. #AlaskaFood#Anchorage#Fairbanks#TravelFoodDiary#FoodieLife
