What to Eat in Maine – #1-Ranked Lobster Roll 🦞 at Red Eat’s

This tiny lobster roll spot is located near a bridge in Maine and blew up after being featured on an American food show. Parking around the area is super convenient—no stress about finding a spot! Address 📍: 41 Water St. Wiscasset, ME 04578 ✅ Pros: **Huge Portion for $36**: At $36 each, this lobster roll is massive—easily the biggest one I’ve had near Boston! It’s so packed with lobster meat, I swear there’s enough for 2 whole lobsters inside 🦞. The flavor is fantastic too—pair it with butter, and it’s absolute perfection. Sweet Potato Fries 🍟: We also ordered sweet potato fries, and they were amazing! Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy (like baked sweet potato) on the inside, with a natural sweet taste. They’re the perfect side to balance the rich lobster roll. ❎ Cons: Insanely Long Lines: We arrived around 3:40 PM, and didn’t get our food until almost 6 PM—it was freezing while waiting, so we ended up ordering a hot black tea to warm up 🥶. If you go in winter, definitely dress in warm layers! Cash-Only: The shop only accepts cash, and the nearby ATM is spotty (not very reliable). Save yourself the hassle and bring cash with you beforehand. A fun little detail: If you’re in line by 5:30 PM, the staff will give you a small fridge magnet as proof that you queued up before the cutoff. No matter how long the wait, you’ll still get to try their food—no missing out! For friends bringing dogs 🐶: There are water bowls set up near the waiting area for pups, and the staff sometimes even come out to hand out dog treats. Such a thoughtful touch! #MaineLobsterRoll #BostonAreaFood #Maine #Boston #BostonLife #BostonStudyAbroad #EatDrinkPortlandMaine #PortlandMaine #AcadiaFood
