What to Eat in Philly|Via Locusta 🍝
Today’s recommendation is Via Locusta — Italian food in Philly! Yes, it's "white people food," but honestly, it’s really tasty 😌👍 I’ve been twice and tried a variety of dishes. 🖼️ First photo: Squid ink chitarra & spaghetti with crab. The squid ink pasta had plenty of squid rings, and the tomato sauce was rich but not heavy — tangy and refreshing. The crab spaghetti was my first time trying — sauce was richer, with a strong crab flavor. Unique and delicious! 🐙 Octopus leg – Good but a bit dry, pretty standard. Try it if you like octopus. 🍞 FOCACCIA!!! – AMAZING! Warm bread with honey butter — the sweetness of the butter, sea salt, and rosemary together = perfection! Crispy outside, soft inside — highly recommend! 🍕 Prosciutto pizza – Savory with cheese and ham — super fragrant and also highly recommended. 🦀 Another crab pasta pic (because it looked nice 📸). 🍮 Desserts – Just okay. The gelato was decent, but the pudding and espresso weren’t my taste. The candied cherries were… questionable 😅. Maybe skip dessert here. On another visit, I also tried the pappardelle with lamb — also very flavorful (no pic though). Overall: Solid for savory dishes, skip the desserts. Prices are reasonable — great for catching up with friends! 📍 Address: 1723 Locust St, Philadelphia, PA 19103 #ItalianFood #StudentEats #GlobalFoodSquad #UniversityOfPennsylvania #Philadelphia #Delicious
