What to Eat in Zagreb? — OMMA Korean Restaurant
Oh my! The owner of OMMA is actually my senior from the language school I attended when I first arrived in Croatia. Later, she opened this Korean restaurant near the school, and I’ve been a regular ever since. The restaurant relocated two years ago to its current spot (P8), which is even closer to my place now. ⚠️ Heads Up Friday & Saturday: Might be fully booked by Korean tour groups → Call ahead to check (📞 on Google). Closed Sundays ❌ | Hours: Mon-Fri 11:00-20:00, Sat 11:00-18:00. 🚌 How to Get There Take tram 14, 17, 4, 13, or 3 to the Studentski Centar stop. Walk along the street under the railway (3-5 min), turn right at the first intersection (you’ll see a café), and it’s right behind it. Driving? Paid parking is available nearby. 🍽️ Menu & Recommendations (Prices might have increased slightly, but it’s still ~€12 per person.) Spicy Rice Cakes (Tteokbokki) 🌶️ Best shared—great as a side but not filling enough alone. Kimchi Pork Neck Soup 🍲 My go-to on cold, rainy days! Warning: The kimchi broth has a lingering spice. Light on meat but perfect with rice. Bibimbap 🥗 Healthy and balanced—classic Korean comfort food. Stir-Fried Udon 🍜 Mild flavor, but the noodles were too firm for my taste (I prefer soft ones). Sushi Rolls 🍣 (If available!) Lightly packed rice—refreshing but not always on the menu. 📸 Close-Up of Tteokbokki I still love pairing it with rice (even though it’s technically a carb-on-carb situation). Next time, I’ll share Zagreb’s best stir-fried rice noodles! #ZagrebEats #CroatiaFoodie #HiddenGems
