When I came to Sri Lanka, a bankrupt country

If I hadn’t come here in person, I might have also held stereotypes about Sri Lanka like "poor," "chaotic," or "unsafe."🍅 🥪🥪But after actually traveling around, I found the country’s temperament is completely different from what’s rumored outside: It is poor, but not chaotic.💕 It has gone bankrupt, but people still live with smiles.👍 1. About safety: Traveling alone, I felt safe throughout. The public security is much better than I imagined.💞 You rarely see scenes of people looking nervous or making you feel uncomfortable on the streets. Most tuk-tuk drivers are enthusiastic and polite, and some even take the initiative to remind you to keep an eye on your belongings.😊 ✨People like to greet each other—you’ll get a response when you say hi, and when someone asks to take a photo with you, it’s really just because they think you’re "nice and friendly."🌻 "The Land of Smiles" is not an empty phrase. 2. About the environment:🌳🌳 Sri Lanka is more like a "tropical ecological island" overall:💞 - Animals are not afraid of people; monkeys and peacocks hop around on the roadside.🌤️ - The hot and humid climate nurtures lush greenery everywhere, and the air is clean.🌻 🌃- Except for the capital Colombo, other cities are generally not prosperous, but there’s a tranquility of "being embraced by nature." Also, because of its original ecology, many hotels are built in the mountains, and there are really many bugs...❄️❄️ If what you’re looking for is the experience of a "luxury resort hotel," this might not be the place for you.🍛 😊 Visa: It’s recommended to apply for an e-visa in advance. You only need the first page of your passport, and it’s convenient and fast. You can enter twice within 180 days.🍔 ☎️ Phone card: Get a Dialog card directly at the airport. It has good signal coverage, fast internet speed, and is cheap.👉👈 🚴 Transportation: There are direct flights to Colombo from many domestic cities, with round-trip tickets costing about 2,000+ RMB. It’s recommended to book return tickets early. The main local ways to get around are tuk-tuks or the PickMe taxi 🚖🚖app. ☁️ Weather: It’s hot all year round, so pay attention to sun protection and mosquito prevention.⛅ ☀️☀️ There’s a large temperature difference in mountainous areas, and you can wear a thin coat in small towns. Notes (very important!): 1. You need to take off your shoes in religious places. The floor gets very hot, so it’s recommended to bring your own socks. Dress to cover your skin.✨ 🎉🎉2. The small trains are beautiful for taking photos, but anti-theft is a must—keep your bag within your sight. 3. Ticket prices for attractions are "doubled and doubled" for foreigners, so keep that in mind.🎁 If you’re considering a place that’s "a bit far, a bit quiet, a bit unfamiliar but not lacking in warmth," Sri Lanka might be the one you hesitate about before coming, but miss after leaving.🛶🛶 #LessVisitedCountries #BankruptCountry #LifeAbroad #SriLanka #SeeTheWorldTogether #IslandTravel #TravelAroundTheWorld #Vacation #TravelShowsMeADifferentWorld #LivingAbroad
