Where to Eat | London’s Traditional British Cuisine
<The Ivy Chelsea Garden>🍴 Nested in the affluent area of Chelsea, this classic British restaurant boasts a garden-style decor with an abundance of greenery. It’s a place that perfectly balances both environment and ambiance. Before visiting, I didn’t find much about their main meal offerings on 📕, but it seems many people come here for afternoon tea. Starters: The Ivy Classic Crispy Duck Salad Duck salad 🥗 I heard from a friend that this salad comes with watermelon 🍉, which sounded a bit quirky, but it was surprisingly refreshing. The duck seemed to be air-dried, giving it a sweet and savory chew with a nice texture. Paired with sauce and vegetables with nuts, it’s very palatable. Highly recommended. Roasted Scallop Grilled scallop The scallops were sweet and substantial, quite large, and paired with golden, crispy garlic, offering a rich layering of textures. Salt and Pepper Squid Tempura Squid tempura Squid with mayonnaise is a timeless perfect starter. Though it’s called tempura, it lacked a bit of lightness, but the flavor was spot on. Mains: Lobster Linguine Lobster 🦞 pasta Lobster sauce is a winning combination with any main course. The lobster meat wasn’t minced; it was actual, whole meat taken off the lobster, with leg meat that was super tender. The lobster pasta here is light, focusing on the natural flavors, allowing the saltiness and freshness of the ingredients to shine. Sirloin Steak Sirloin steak The steak was decent, but the accompanying chips were exceptional – thick and crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, making them very memorable. The service at the restaurant was also excellent, with a comfortable dining environment, making it perfect for small gatherings. #BritishCuisine #AtmosphericRestaurant #AtmosphericWesternDining #LondonFoodHunt #LondonRestaurants #BeautifulMeals
