Who’s Still Sizzling Through NYC Winter? 🔥😅

The more I go into the office, the less happy I feel… but a hot pot dinner after work in chilly NYC really turns things around! Instant mood booster! 🌬️🍲 We got the yin-yang pot: spicy red broth (loaded with chili and visible beef fat) + tomato broth. Even “mild spicy” here packs serious heat—more like medium at other spots! 🌶️🔥 For meat, we ordered snowflake beef, Wagyu “niu zhuan qian kun”, and fatty beef slices. The Wagyu was especially tender and rich—perfect dipped in my sesame oil sauce. 🥩💦 Seafood picks: scallops, tiger prawns, shrimp paste, and crispy fish slices. The prawns were huge, and the staff even peeled them for us—so convenient! 🦐✨ Classic sides: youtiao (fried dough sticks) dipped in tomato broth = next-level delicious, and crispy fried pork with Sichuan pepper in the batter (a bit thick but tasty!). 📍 Xiao Long Kan Hot Pot 22 E 13th St, New York, NY 💵 ~$75 per person #NYCEats #HotPot #SpicyFood #WinterWarmers #NYCFoodie #ComfortFood #MatataEats #NYCDining #HeatLovers #MoodBoost #FoodTherapy #NYCHotPot
