Who Doesn’t Know About This Chinese Restaurant in Venice
Right near the train station—and it’s insanely delicious! Ate here for two days straight. The first day, we’d planned to grab coffee but stumbled upon this place. The sign said "baozi, youtiao (fried dough sticks), nuomifan (sticky rice)"—we couldn’t walk past! Once inside, we were hooked and ditched the coffee plan. Plus, it’s cheaper than the UK! 😱 We ordered three soybean milks (haven’t had them in forever 🥹—each comes with a small dish of youtiao), one youtiao, a tea egg, a plate of xiaolongbao, and a bowl of sticky rice. The soybean milk was perfectly balanced—left a lingering nutty taste. The tea egg must be eaten hot! Incredibly fragrant and flavorful. The youtiao was average but still better than UK ones. The sticky rice was mind-blowing! Filled with mushrooms, minced meat, youtiao bits, and scallion oil—couldn’t stop eating it. We almost cried from happiness. Every bite was "wow", then "omg", "so good", "this is amazing", "let’s come back tomorrow"! 😭😍 Next day, we woke up early to catch the train—but first, breakfast here! Ordered a bowl of ramen, wonton soup, xiaolongbao, a veggie bao, two tea eggs, three soybean milks. The sister owner even gave us a free oyster pancake! Beef tripe ramen: Noodles were springy, tripe portions were huge (so much left after eating), and the soup was delicious. Shrimp wontons: Looked appetizing, tasted like swimming in the sea! Soup had seaweed, dried shrimp, mushrooms, minced meat—super fresh, even the greens were good. Oyster pancake: Filled with radish, carrot, oysters, lean meat, peanuts—different from home but still tasty. We were so excited we danced in our seats and hummed to the shop’s music. The sister owner called us "cute" (we ate a lot 😂). The staff are super nice, and they speak great Italian!
