My favorite hotel in St. Wolfgang: Landhaus zu Appesbach 🏨✨ If you're road-tripping through Austria's Lake District, St. Wolfgang is a must-visit—it's way quieter than Hallstatt! Waking up to a peaceful lakeside stroll here is pure bliss. 😌 Now, About This Hidden Gem of a Hotel... 📍 Just a 15-min walk from town (perfect if you're tired from driving). 🍽 The Restaurant – A Foodie’s Dream! Most tables have gorgeous lake views 🌊 Must-order: The first cold starter (salmon dish)—unbelievably good! Imagine fresh salmon + creamy sauce, pickled radish, bell peppers, fish roe, and a mysterious spice (like cumin powder?)—each bite was pure magic. Also loved their 5-course / 3-course menus (or à la carte, like we did). Creative, high-end European cuisine—if this place were in Shanghai, it’d be fully booked every night! And here? Half the price of fancy city restaurants. 💆 Spa & Wellness (2nd floor, open 2PM–8PM) Sauna, steam room, and relaxation zones (we missed it due to time, but perfect for a 2-night stay!).
