Wilhelma Zoological and Botanical Garden | A Great Weekend Spot 🌳🐘

Wilhelma has a rich history, beginning construction in 1842 as a Moorish garden with a residential palace and ornamental greenhouses. During World War II, most of it was destroyed and gradually evolved from a botanical garden into a zoo and botanical garden, housing nearly 1000 species of 8000 animals and 6000 species of plants. ❤️ The Moorish garden features the world's largest water lily, capable of supporting 70kg. ❤️ There are giant sequoia trees from the 19th century. ❤️ Several greenhouses with different climates, especially recommended is the Amazon Rainforest. ❤️ A rich variety of orchids. ❤️ A walk-in aviary where birds fly freely. ❤️ A landscaped farm with gardens. ❤️ Flamingos. ❤️ A world-renowned aquarium with breeding tanks and an alligator house 💕💕 ❤️ Gorilla research base 💕💕 ❤️ Amazon bear enclosure 💕💕 It's especially vast inside, well-organized, and you can see many plants and animals that you've never seen before. It's a great place for leisure and entertainment. The entrance fee is half price in the afternoon. There's also a large koi fish with a heart-shaped pattern. #Stuttgart #BotanicalGarden #ZooDayTrip #Zoo #WeekendGetaway #WaterLily #DayOut #GermanLife #Topic
