🥢 Winnipeg Chinese Cuisine • North Garden Restaurant

📍 Address: 33 University Crescent, Winnipeg, MB R3T 2N5 💗 I tried North Garden's dim sum a long time ago and wasn't impressed, so I never came back. But today, when we couldn't decide where to eat, my friend suggested giving it another shot—so here we are! 🌟 The first time I visited, I ordered fish-fragrant shredded pork , and it was terrible, which completely turned me off. This time, I let my friend do all the ordering since I had zero expectations. 🌟 Surprisingly, the food was actually pretty good today—maybe because my expectations were so low. ✅ My favorites were the spicy boiled fish —flavorful, numbing, and spicy—and the braised pork belly served with soft steamed buns. Each bite was so good it left me speechless! My friend loved the roast duck , which had a sweet glaze, and the garlic spare ribs , crispy outside and tender inside. We also got steamed egg tofu without soy sauce or MSG for the kids—it was decent. 🌟 The only letdown was the shrimp and chive scrambled eggs ❎. There were barely any chives, and the shrimp and eggs were overcooked—more like basic shrimp fried eggs. Honestly, I could’ve made it better at home. 🌟 We also tried the cheese mango drink . I assumed restaurant bubble tea would be bad, but it was actually delicious—not too sweet, with strong mango flavor and a rich cheese foam topping. 💕 Overall, dinner was better than expected, but temper your expectations if you visit! 📍 Address: 33 University Crescent, Winnipeg, MB R3T 2N5 #WinnipegEats #ChineseFoodReview #HiddenGems #FoodieAdventures #HonestReview #WinnipegDining
