Winnipeg Chinese Restaurant Review • Riverview Garden Restaurant

💗 After a long day out with the kids, my husband and I finally tried this neighbor-recommended Cantonese spot—we'd only ordered takeout before, but this was our first dine-in experience! 🍗 Must-Try Dishes ✅ Hakka Free-Range Chicken Tender, juicy chicken with a ginger-scallion dipping sauce—simple but delicious! ✅ Eight-Treasure Crispy Rice Think Eight-Treasure Tofu, but with crispy rice instead! Topped with chicken, beef, shrimp, crab stick, squid, BBQ pork, and broccoli in a savory sauce. ⚠️ Eat fast! The rice loses its crunch if soaked too long. (Only downside: could use more seasoning.) ✅ Salted Egg Yolk Fish A MUST for salted egg lovers! (Also comes as shrimp or wings.) Uses boneless basa fish—perfect for kids! ✅ Crispy Milk Dessert My personal favorite! Sweet, creamy filling inside a crispy shell. 🥥 Bonus: Complimentary coconut milk pudding (the kids loved it!). 🥢 Skip This ❌ Stir-Fried Pork Not the crispy, wok-fried version I expected—too tender (starch-coated) and missing that smoky flavor. 🍲 Decent, But Not Outstanding ▪️ West Lake Beef Soup Standard fare, but the beef was tender. (Hubby’s go-to soup.) 📍 Details 📌 Address: 3564 Pembina Hwy, Winnipeg, MB R3V 1A7 💡 Verdict: One of Winnipeg’s better Chinese restaurants! Not perfect, but solid—worth a try if you’re craving Cantonese flavors. #WinnipegEats #ChineseFood #CantoneseCuisine #WinnipegLife #FoodieFinds #FamilyDining #WinnipegFoodGuide
