πŸ’™ Winnipeg Fishing Trip Diary 🎣

Foodie Part: On the way to Gimli, we tried a local favorite fish & chips spot 🍟 called Kris' Fish & Chips. Their signature dish is pickerel β€” they also offer cod and haddock. The fries are thick and delicious β€” even someone like me who doesn’t usually like fries couldn’t stop eating them! πŸ˜‹ Totally different from McDonald's thin and dry fries. The fish with a squeeze of lemon and their homemade tartar sauce was incredibly flavourful πŸ‹βœ¨ It’s hard to get that perfect crisp at home β€” and the price is totally reasonable. Highly recommend! After eating, it’s just a short drive to a great fishing spot: Hecla-Grindstone Provincial Park 🏞️ Perfect for introverts 😌 β€” no phone signal the whole time. Extroverts might get a little bored though πŸ˜… I only caught one fish, but the grandpa next to me was reeling them in like every 5 minutes! πŸŸπŸ‘΄ Winnipeg in spring and summer may not be a big city, but it has its own unique charm β€” slow, peaceful, and full of little adventures. πŸŒΏβ˜€οΈ #FishingLife #Winnipeg #WinnipegLife #WinnipegFood #WinnipegStudent #Manitoba #SummerFishing #ExploreWinnipeg #StudentLife #CanadianLiving #FoodDiary
