Winnipeg Italian | Bellissimo: A Hidden Gem in Linden Woods 🍝

📍 Location: Linden Woods neighborhood (check website for exact address) Tucked away in the Linden Woods community, Bellissimo is truly a hidden gem in Winnipeg's Italian dining scene! When we visited on a Saturday night, the place was packed - definitely make a reservation if you want to try it out. 🍤 Appetizer Experience We ordered the classic Fried Calamari - golden crispy on the outside while remaining tender and juicy inside. While I think this dish is pretty standard at any Italian restaurant (good but not extraordinary), my partner absolutely loved it and nearly finished the whole plate by himself! 🍝 Pasta Perfection We tried two pasta dishes: Aragosta Seafood Pasta 🦞 A seafood lover's dream! Featuring plump scallops, shrimp, and lobster meat. The white sauce is cooked with bacon, giving it a smoky depth without being overly rich. Classic Spaghetti Bolognese 🍅 This was the surprise star! Unlike typical bolognese that can be too acidic, this version had a deep, savory flavor. I opted for fettuccine instead of spaghetti, and the wider noodles had such a satisfying chew - it actually reminded me of Chinese hand-pulled noodles! 💰 Great Value The portions here are incredibly generous! We ordered three dishes (one appetizer + two mains) and couldn't finish any of them. The chocolate cake at the next table looked big enough to share among four people. At $30-40 per person for a satisfying meal, it's excellent value these days. 🌟 Overall Ambience: Cozy, classic Italian trattoria Service: Friendly staff, reasonable pacing Perfect for: Friends gathering, date night, family meals Must-try: Aragosta seafood pasta, Bolognese (choose fettuccine!) Our only regret was being too full for dessert - next time we're saving room for their tiramisu! #WinnipegEats #ItalianFood #FoodieAdventures #CanadianLife #WhatToEatToday #FoodShare #PastaLover
