π Winnipeg Pho Showdown: Ding Ho vs. Pho Que Huong
After hearing all my friends rave about these two Vietnamese spots, I had to do a proper taste test! Here's my completely subjective take on which does pho (and other dishes) better. π₯’ The Pho Battle Ding Ho's pho wins for: βοΈ Higher quality meat selections βοΈ Option for round rice noodles (feels like Cantonese-style pho - almost like rice noodles!) Pho Que Huong's pho shines with: βοΈ More flavorful broth (seriously addictive!) βοΈ Amazing beef meatballs (so springy and tender - and I normally hate beef balls!) π Standout Dishes At Ding Ho: β Garlic butter shrimp - crispy, fragrant, and not greasy at all β Scallion oil chicken - perfectly roasted skin, so good we cleaned the plate At Pho Que Huong: β Fresh veggie rolls - served with unique dipping sauce I've never had elsewhere β οΈ The Misses Ding Ho's beef chow fun was a disaster - mushy and stuck together. We couldn't eat more than two bites. Maybe an off day? π Final Thoughts Neither is mind-blowing, but in Winnipeg's culinary desert, they're solid options! π Ding Ho 497 William Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3A 0J7 π Pho Que Huong 678 Ellice Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3G 0A9 #WinnipegFood #PhoLovers #WinnipegEats #VietnameseFood #FoodieReview #WinnipegLife #StudentEats #WinnipegMustTry
