Winter Delights in Allgäu Village (Reservations are a Must!) ❄️🍽️
I have to say, my eyes lit up as I was eating—truly, even in the village, there are fantastic German restaurants!! And let me tell you, no Bavarian restaurant I've been to in Munich so far can compare! This is a very well-known spot in Kampten, known by people of all ages, and it's genuinely not an exaggeration. They are dog-friendly 🐶, offering window seats for our furry friends to look out at the world~~~How thoughtful! My friend and I ordered their winter specials: lamb and veal, along with the Schalander Salad (please, do order it, okay!) I didn't pay attention when ordering, thinking the lamb and pasta would be separate, but it turned out to be lamb dumplings, hahahahaha. The pasta didn't seem like the kind you buy from the supermarket; it was more like hand-rolled noodles with a bit of chew, and the filling wasn't too salty, which paired well with the sauce. Loved it! The portion was generous, so much so that it was enormous. The veal was incredibly tender. When it was served, it looked quite ordinary, and we didn't pay much attention to it, thinking it would be just another German beef dish. How wrong we were! One bite, and we were pleasantly surprised! The texture was soft and not at all woody, tender and smooth, rivaling the beef my dad stews, top-notch quality. I hope this dish stays on the menu forever! Oh my, I must recommend the salad! It was so delicious it brought tears to our eyes, and its huge portion saved me and my dog that night. The charging stations next to the residential buildings in the village were occupied by cars, making it impossible for us to charge. We decided to head to the nearest 300w charging station after dropping off my friend. In the desolate wilderness, on a dark and windy winter night, with only a can of dog food in the car besides the salad we packed at noon... My dog and I each held a box and finished our dinner, waited for 45 minutes to charge, and then drove for another hour and a half to get home... This salad, it was truly substantial! #GermanLife #Germany #Explore #HiddenGemRestaurants #GermanCuisine #GermanFood #EverydayGermany #Bavaria
