Work from Utah🥩 A Slow-Food Fusion of Chinese and Italian Cuisine

A restaurant highly recommended by local friends—and I surprisingly snagged a last-minute reservation! “New American” cuisine here feels like a collective celebration of delicious elements from around the world—perfect for group dining! 😋 📍 111 E Broadway #170, Salt Lake City, UT 🥑 Avo’s Ratings: 👏 Loved 👍 Liked 👌 Okay 👎 Not for Me Appetizers The main courses take a while, so we started with appetizers to curb the hunger. 😂 🥬 Romaine Salad 👍 A whole romaine lettuce, halved and served straight up. My friend was baffled, joking about the kitchen cutting corners—but it tasted great! Fresh and crisp, with noticeable Caesar dressing, anchovy bits, and parsley. 🐷 Pork Belly 👏 Not the familiar braised pork flavor, but with cucumber, red onion, cilantro, and radish, it was rich without being greasy, crispy yet tender. 🥟 Ricotta Dumplings 👏 If you’re strict about “authentic” dumplings, skip these Italian-style ones. But! If you’re open-minded, you’ll enjoy the rich, savory cheese filling. 🦴 Wagyu Bone Marrow 👌 Highly anticipated, but the presentation outperformed the taste. Good with crispy bread, but eating it straight felt like drinking oil—only for the adventurous. Main Courses Since everything takes time, we skipped “fast” options like pasta and went straight for the meaty dishes. 🍄 Saffron Risotto 👍 Wild mushrooms and mushroom broth infused into saffron risotto—deep and flavorful. Not for hardcore meat lovers though~ 🐟 Rainbow Trout 👏 Looks simple, but with Greek yogurt and lentil seasoning—crispy skin, tender flesh, healthy and tasty. 🦆 Confit Duck Leg 👏 After a disappointing duck confit in Shanghai, this completely changed my perspective! Crispy, flavorful duck with rhubarb chili chutney for an extra kick. Loved the brown rice pairing too. 🐷 House Meatloaf 👏 Their signature meatloaf, full of Southern charm. Layered with mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy—every bite is satisfying. 🍔 The Copper Onion 👍 Grass-fed beef burger, very American. 😄 The duck fat-infused sauce was a unique touch. 💬 Service was attentive, but the kitchen was really slow—maybe short-staffed that day? 😅 If you’re in a hurry, try nearby veggie spot 【Zest】 (mentioned in earlier posts). Book ahead + allow time, or come with 3–4 people for a smoother experience. The food is worth it! They also serve brunch—still on my to-try list~ 🌍 Four years of working remotely… Next stop: still Salt Lake City. #SaltLakeCityEats #UtahFood #WorkFromAnywhere #VisitSaltLake #TravelUtah #FoodFusion #SlowDining #LocalFlavor
