Restaurant: Xiao Long Kan Hot Pot Food Rating: 7/10 After my first visit during happy hour was a total disappointment 😑, I’ve been back several times—trying both the buffet and à la carte options. The experience definitely improved! The buffet selection has expanded a bit. Of course, the meats are still limited to beef, lamb, and pork, but there are more side dishes now. I was especially excited to see more tofu skin and ring rolls added—a dream for tofu lovers like me! 😊 The tofu skin is nice and thin, unlike the bland, rehydrated dried bean curd you often get at other places. The sliced meat also looked much better this time, without an overwhelming amount of fat. For a buffet at this price point, I’d say it meets expectations. 👍 As for the à la carte meats, the quality is noticeably better. I tried several types of beef and fish from the menu, and none of them disappointed. The first time I ordered the Kobe beef tongue, it was a real surprise—thin, crispy, and so delicious that I finished the whole plate and still wanted more! 🤤 Unfortunately, on my second visit, the beef tongue seemed thicker and tougher… a bit of a letdown. 😔 The beef tallow broth is seriously satisfying—so rich that the oil solidifies on your spoon 🥄! No other hot pot spot in the city offers this kind of option. I also tried the tom yum broth, which was a pleasant surprise. As someone who loves sour flavors, I found it way more exciting than the chicken or mushroom broths. 😋 The staff have been consistently friendly. Over my several visits, I encountered three or four different groups of servers, and all were patient and kind—even during busy hours. Small gestures, like handing out napkins, were always taken care of. 👏 Overall, it’s clear they’ve been making an effort to improve since opening. I’ll definitely be back whenever I’m craving strong, flavorful hot pot! #VegasFood #LasVegasEats
