Options: Cable car for a bird’s-eye view 🚡 Boat ride 🚤 Lakeside walk (my choice—stunning!) 🌊 🌲 Pro tip: Walk the forest boardwalk between the parking lot and shuttle stop—lined with snow-crowned spruce trees, it’s magical! 🍽️ Eat at a nearby farmhouse restaurant. Stay in Usu City and try local Wusu beer! 🍻 🔘 DAY 3 - Sayram Lake ☀️ My favorite spot! Under the sun, the lake glows unreal blue (no filter needed!). Crystal-clear waters with snowy mountains in the backdrop—absolutely breathtaking. 🚗 Self-drive highlights: Dianjiangtai: Climb the steps for a panoramic view of the lake’s layered blues. Kele Yongzhu: Where swans perform for you! 🦢 🌉 On the way back, stop at Guozigou Bridge. Stay in Yining and explore the lively Liuxing Street at night. 🔘 DAY 4 - Shata (Xia Ta) 🗻 Giant snow-capped mountains right in your face—jaw-dropping! Take the Yining-Zhaosu Highway (YiZhao) for nonstop scenery. 🚏 Shuttle stops: Transfer Bridge → General’s Bridge (best for+forests+streams). Hike to No. 1-4 Kala Houses (No. 4 is just grassland; No. 1 has adorable squirrels 🐿️!). Save time for General’s Bridge—it’s prettier! 🍽️ Stay in Tekes "Bagua City" (a traffic-light-free town that never sleeps!). 🔘 DAY 5 - East Kalajun (Karakorum) 🚌 Sightseeing bus stops: Shiquan (skip) Flower Terrace (meh—flowers were sparse when I went) Eagle Terrace (🏆 Best! Vast grasslands with fewer crowds. Run wild among yellow/purple/white flowers!) 🍽️ Overnight in Nalati Town for an early start next day. 🔘 DAY 6 - Nalati Grassland 🌿 Three iconic stops: Sky Terrace: Try grass sliding—thrilling! Pastoral Platform: Kazakh culture immersion.
