Yosemite + Fresno: A 4-Day Nature Recharge π²β¨π
Last week, we took a road trip to Yosemite β hiking, picnicking, stargazing, and wandering through forests, creeks, meadows, and waterfalls. Felt like free little monkeys ππ¨. This trip was incredibly calming β returned feeling recharged and renewed. Being offline for three days made life feel beautifully simple. No outside noise, no pressure β just pure, worry-free joy ππ§ββοΈ. Quick Itinerary Breakdown: Day 1 βοΈ Left the Bay Area in the morning β stopped in Gilroy for cherry picking π π¦ Afternoon in Fresno β visited Fresno Chaffee Zoo (giraffe feeding was so therapeutic!) π’ Highly recommend J Pot in Fresno for dinner β way better than BBQ spots in the Bay! π Stayed overnight in Oakhurst Day 2 π Drove toward Yosemite (took longer than expected with a stop at the Historic Center + park entrance wait π¦) πΈ Entered around 5 PM β scenic drive with stops: Tunnel View Bridalveil Fall Yosemite Chapel Swinging Bridge Picnic Area π¨ Stayed at Yosemite Valley Lodge Day 3 π Took the shuttle to trailheads (waited 30 mins β busy but worth it!) π₯Ύ Hiked Mist Trail (bring waterproof gear! π§οΈ Absolutely stunning β highly recommend!) π§ Also did Mirror Lake β nice but not as impressive after Mist Trail Day 4 π Took the Lower Yosemite Fall Trail (easy & beautiful β huge waterfall views right near the lodge) π½οΈ Dinner at The Mountain Room β steaks were perfect, apps and entrees all delicious πβcozy atmosphere!
