After a morning exploring exhibitions at the ExCeL Centre, my 16-year-old son suggested tapas for lunch and brought us to Tapa Tapa—conveniently located right on the way to Custom House Station. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with warmth and led to a cozy booth with sofa seating. The wooden decor and relaxed vibe made it the perfect spot to unwind after a busy morning. 🛋️🌿 We ordered a wide variety of dishes—and some were so delicious, we even ordered seconds! Highlights included: Chicken Croquettes – golden, crispy, and filled with perfectly seasoned chicken 🥘🔥 Tender Octopus with olive oil powder – so soft, juicy, and flavorful, it was our favorite 🐙💫 Mini Burgers – served on soft brioche buns with juicy beef, pickles, tomato, and a mouthwatering sauce 🍔👌 My son couldn’t get enough of the chicken wings with bravas sauce—spicy, sweet, and totally addictive. He finished them in record time! We also shared the sauced squid, beautifully seasoned and served with delicious aioli—a true highlight we savored slowly. To drink, I enjoyed a refreshing pint of Cruzcampo beer 🍺 and a glass of Bobal wine—a Spanish red with a cherry-rich color, bold dark fruit notes, Mediterranean herbs, balanced tannins, and a tangy-sweet finish. 🍷❤️ Our server, Mevin, was attentive and full of great recommendations—both for wine and dishes—which truly elevated our experience. With its laid-back atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent service, Tapa Tapa is a gem I’d gladly visit again.
