You Gotta Try Alligator in New Orleans! 🐊🍴
It’s been way too long since my last update — but my New Orleans food journey isn’t over yet! This time, I tried authentic Cajun Southern cuisine and finally checked off my must-eat list: alligator meat! Today’s Menu 🍜🥘🥗 📌 Wood-Fired Oyster Roast A must-order! 🔥 While waiting, I saw the gentleman next to us get this — and the aroma was incredible! It had a Chinese-style barbecue spice vibe 🌶️. The oysters weren’t huge, but super fresh and flavorful. 📌 Alligator Tastes like a cross between chicken and fish! 🐊 This fried alligator had no weird smell — crispy outside, firm and tender inside, like a dense white fish. Great for first-timers — not scary at all! 📌 Cochon Braised pork with bold Southern seasoning — reminded me of home-style Chinese stew 🥢! Maybe it’s the heavy spice blend, but it felt so familiar and delicious. 📌 Banana Pudding Time for something sweet! 🍌 This was a surprise hit — soft, fragrant, and not overly sweet. The banana flavor was natural and comforting. 📍 Key Details Restaurant: Cochon Restaurant Address: 930 Tchoupitoulas St Ste A, New Orleans, LA 70130 Price: Around $50–60 per person The vibe here is gorgeous — very Southern and stylish 👒.
