Yukashi in Midtown Toronto | Exquisite Kaiseki with a Perfect Ambiance

๐ŸŒŸI took advantage of the tax break and visited Yukashi in Midtown Toronto. The restaurant has a very cozy atmosphere, reminiscent of a Japanese family kitchen. ๐ŸŒŸThere are nine courses in total, all of which are very creative. The ingredients are flown in from Japan every other day. The menu changes according to the seasonal ingredients. The chef is extremely thoughtful in designing the menu and presenting the dishes. The plating is incredibly exquisite, and the flavors are also great. The main ingredients are fish, which are particularly succulent in winter. The portions are also quite satisfying. ๐ŸŒŸThe signature dish is the Grilled A5 Miyazaki Wagyu with Sea Urchin and Foie Gras, served with shiso leaves. It is incredibly satisfying and bursting with flavor. The sea urchin is also very fresh and sweet. Each dish is presented artistically. Although the ingredients are not particularly rare or expensive, considering the creativity of the dishes and the chef's dedication, I think the price is acceptable. (I heard that three years ago, when the restaurant didn't have a Michelin star, the price was about half of what it is now. But considering the rise in prices, I think the current price is still reasonable). ๐ŸŒŸIt is really perfect for special occasions or anniversaries. The atmosphere is perfect for a date. Highly recommended! #JapaneseCuisine #TorontoFood #TorontoDining #TorontoLife #Kaiseki
