Zurich’s Unique Steak Spot: Williams ButchersTable
On a Saturday craving some meat, my friend and I decided to splurge and visit a steakhouse that’s listed as one of the world’s top 101 best steak restaurants. This place offers both set menu items and the option to visit the raw meat counter to select your own cut and weight. 🍖 It’s both a restaurant and a butcher shop, and we saw many locals coming in to buy beef while we were ordering. We chose the black Angus bavette and a type of Swiss beef (sorry, I can’t recall the exact name). 🥩 The black Angus bavette was less juicy and less beefy than the other cut, but it had a buttery texture and no sinew, making it easy to chew. The other one, I wouldn’t recommend personally—it had too much sinew and was quite chewy. For starters, we had a roasted half beef bone with marrow, which I didn’t particularly enjoy because it was too greasy. To top it off, the waiter surprised us by pouring a shot of vodka into the beef bone as a “surprise.” 🥃 Ambiance: Four stars Service: Three stars Taste: Four stars Average Cost per Person: CHF 100-130 #Restaurant #Zurich
