Zurich Ramen Series - Ooki Izakaya

Zurich's Yummiest Ice Cream It's a bit of a trek from the main campuses of ETH and UZH, but it's worth the journey for their ice cream. 🍦 We walked and enjoyed our ice cream along the way. We also tried a ramen restaurant, which turned out to be a very delicious place. 😋 Their "Dan Dan Noodles" are fantastic and highly recommended. The broth is rich, and the sauce is filled with chunks of beef. You can opt for a Vegan version. Key point: There are several levels of spiciness for the Dan Dan noodles. For those who can handle it, go for the super spicy version. After having ice cream on a cold winter day, a bowl of super spicy Dan Dan noodles is incredibly satisfying. There are several toppings to choose from, but I suggest just getting some veggies. The char siu is quite average and can be greasy; personally, I didn't find it very tasty. A few more tips: 🍵 Their homemade iced tea tastes a bit weak, like it's made from barley tea bags. Also, although there are only two sizes to choose from, the difference between the large and small is quite ridiculous. 🍜 Yuzu Ramen, well... it's hard to rate. I personally didn't enjoy it; from the broth to the toppings, it felt a bit lackluster.
