Bruny Island Wild - Cafe & Events Venue — Restaurant in Bruny Island

My husband organized us surprise trip to Bruny Island and a restuarant that had a grocery store and art gallery beside, facing the ocean appealed greatly. Unfortunately when we arrived it was off season so the grocery supply was limited and the cafe closed at 4pm, no dinner. The lovely couple there, seeing our plight, offered to make us a take out dinner, ready when we came back from adventuring for the day. On dark we arrived back to the closed restaurant, in which they were inside prepping for the next day, to a pile of containers of deliciousness- celeriac and spices soup, dukkah, housemade butter, homemade sourdough, newspaper, Rose' wine, local apples. Thank you so very much to Ray the chef and his lively lady sorry we didn't get your name. Your kindness was greatly appreciated and so much respect to you for your kindness. Our family being a group of 10 visited for my birthday 🎂. For private family reasons the day and the visit to Dennes Point held quite some emotions for me but I am so glad we made the decisions that we did in visiting Bruny Island Wild and the nearby beach ⛱️ areas. The staff were fabulous and totally accommodating and professional.......the pizzas are without doubt the best I've had.....DELICIOUS 👌. The atmosphere and location is divine. This place is red hot, with genuinely the pizza I've ever had (and I've eaten a few!). The mushroom pizza is absolutely sensational. We ordered one mushroom and one salami picante (which was also excellent), and we had to order another mushroom one takeaway as it was so stellar. The service here was also wonderful, the staff were very chatty, friendly and funny. The vibe is very chilled and relaxed with a beautiful view of the beach. There are also some great wine options.
