Visiting this restaurant was like stepping into a warm, welcoming home, where every dish and every moment felt deeply personal and rooted in tradition. The atmosphere of the place was quaint and homely, offering a sense of comfort and nostalgia that is rare to find. Everything served was homemade, prepared with care and attention that spoke volumes of the love infused in the cooking process.

The menu was a celebration of local cuisine, featuring wonderful dishes that showcased the richness and diversity of the region's culinary heritage. Each bite was a journey through flavors and recipes passed down through generations, making the dining experience not just a meal, but a cultural immersion.

The owner of the restaurant added an extraordinary touch to our visit. His kindness and hospitality were unmatched. He took the time to lead us through his vineyard and the surrounding area, sharing stories and insights about the customs, culture, and history of the place. This personal tour added layers of depth and meaning to our visit, connecting us even more deeply to the food on our plates and the land that nurtured it.

This restaurant is more than just a place to eat; it's a destination that captures the essence of its location, offering guests not only delicious meals but also an education in the area's traditions and history. The combination of mouthwatering homemade dishes, the cozy, familial ambiance, and the owner's warm, informative hospitality makes this restaurant a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the heart and soul...

If you're staying in Berat or nearby I would highly recommend driving to this restaurant. The menu is based around what's available from local producers daily (and seasonally) so you'll be served a tasting menu rather than getting to choose your own dishes. This is a slow food restaurant so it takes time to prepare the food using a wooden fire and on weekends it's recommended that you book ahead of time. We loved all of the food and there were plenty of vegetarian options in the tasting menu. They even produce their own wine! The interior of the restaurant itself is very unique as well. Couldn't...

We did a cooking class here (me, my husband and son) and really enjoyed ourselves. The restaurant itself is beautiful and full of charm. It was fun to learn about the traditional dishes and find out about life in general in this rural village. All the food we cooked and ate was grown/produced by the owners including the olive oil from the restaurant's own olive mill. While our food was cooking we got to tour the farm, vineyard and mill which was really interesting. The food we produced was delicious and couldn't have been fresher. A real highlight of our time in Albania and highly...
