Avoid this place at all costs – terrible experience!!
This was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had anywhere.
There was basically no service at all. To place an order, I had to go up to the bar myself. Even then, the staff hardly understood us, though we showed them directly on the menu what we wanted. We asked several times about the fish—what it came with and how much it would cost—because the menu was confusing. They clearly confirmed that it was 1,300 lek per person including potatoes and vegetables.
When the food arrived, it was a complete disappointment. The fish was burned and dry, the vegetables were minimal, and the fries were plain and mediocre. The portion was small, and nothing was provided with it—not even napkins or glasses with drinks. The staff never checked on us, and whenever we tried to get their attention, they seemed annoyed and dismissive.
The biggest shock came at the end: they charged us 3,000 lek instead of 1,300, claiming the fish we ordered “wasn’t even on the menu.” This was completely untrue, as we had pointed to it directly when ordering. On top of that, they overcharged me for a drink—charging me 250 lek for a beer I never had, instead of the 80 lek coffee I actually ordered. When we pointed this out, they waved us off and ignored us entirely.
The staff were not only unhelpful but also rude, aggressive, and dishonest. We left feeling cheated, frustrated, and disrespected.
I have traveled a lot, and this was truly one of the most horrible dining experiences I’ve ever had. Do yourself a favor and avoid this...
Read moreWe bumped into Stomi as another restaurant nearby where we first intended to go for lunch, was fully packed due to an event.
Stomi was almost full too - as we would later find out from the music - perhaps an event as well, but the waiter or the person in the charge was (at first) polite enough to accompany us in one of the outdoor private booths. The booth has a table for 6, a TV screen, even a fireplace(!) it must be cosy in winter time we thought, but now it’s August so the air conditioner is the thing we appreciated the most.
That and a little button on the wall you were supposed to press to call the waiting staff. It worked the first time I pressed when one of the waiters turned up with menus and a bottle of water.
We scrolled through the menu, decided what we would order and then we set out to wait enjoying the view over the lagoon. This was at 12:45.
We were getting quite hungry and impatient, I pressed the button 3 other times, the person who accompanied us there passed in front of the booth a couple times, completely ignoring us. We decided to wait some more, mostly out of empathy with the kitchen, imagining how busy those people might be on a Saturday like this.
When it was well past 14:00 we left (leaving 200 ALL of the water on the table).
Ambience and environment looked really nice.
Unfortunately I can’t comment on the food as we didn’t get the honour to try it.
Service - started well as they tried to accommodate us - but it all went downhill from there.
I’m not sure we will dare to go again. The most bizarre...
Read moreI have traveled in Albania before and always had amazing experiences in restaurants for great prices. We also just came from Montenegro, where everything was excellent. But then we ended up in this so-called luxury restaurant in Albania, and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in the past ten years.
We waited around 45 minutes just to be able to order, and nobody paid attention to us. When we asked questions about the menu, the staff acted annoyed and unwilling to explain. Finally, we ordered a fish that was listed at 1300 lek, and they told us it came with a side. When it arrived, the portion was extremely small for a “luxury” restaurant. The fish was dry and burned, with just a tiny bit of vegetables and a few fries. The service was terrible — no napkins with the fish, no glasses with our drinks, and we had to go to the bar to ask for everything.
The biggest shock came when it was time to pay: instead of 1300 lek, they charged us 2500 lek. They refused to explain and argued with us. We clearly ordered the dish they told us was 1300, but they claimed it didn’t even exist on the menu. On top of that, they charged my friend for a beer (250 lek) instead of the coffee she ordered (80 lek) and refused to give the money back.
The staff was rude, aggressive, and unprofessional. The whole experience felt like a scam. For the same price, I could have enjoyed a true fine dining restaurant in Prague, where I live, with excellent food and service. This place is absolutely not worth it —...
