A must go in Tirana. The cable car costs 800lek return, and is worth every penny. The view at the top is wonderful with plenty for a while family to do up there. There was a great crazy gd course, and small petting zoo, play park and multiple cafés and restaurants. We elected to eat at the ballkoni and did not regret it! We had a window seat (call ahead to request in summer) with spectacular views across Tirana. The food was delicious and very generously portioned, and we had a delicious bottle of white wine recommended by our waiter. The bill was not at all expensive for such a wonderful location and we will be returning next time we are in the city.

If travelling here for the first time the best way to arrive is take the number 11 bus from the bus station in Central Tirana. By the clock Tower. If you ask one the staff they will direct you to the correct bus, the staff wear passes around their necks to help you identify them. The cable car is the end of the route and the bus driver told us where to get off. The cost was 40lek. You then walk straight up the hill and after about 5 minutes will see the cable car. It is very easy and we found the people of Albania extremely helpful. We had our luggage with us as we were leaving that evening and the staff stored them for us free of charge at the cable car station to allow us to enjoy the summit without dragging them around. We also witnessed the staff assisting a couple with a pushchair onto the cable car so if travelling with a little one don't let this put you off as you will be assisted at the...

We did not expect much by this typical touristic place but what we faced was more than disappointing. TL;DR food was barely edible, let’s say if you are hungry you will eat it. Prices, however, are as high as the mountain this restaurant is placed on. It was extremely hot inside and little air to breathe (no air con or fan at least). One side of hall is made of windows at full length directed to west, so after full day in the sun (30+ Celsius degree during a day) and with the sun shinning through the windows it was really hot and unpleasant to stay there, even despite the beautiful view through dirty windows. Normally at this point we would go out and find another place, but no alternative was there that day and at that time (5 PM). Another thing is that our orders came without any reasonable sequence - first one person got food, 6 minutes later second person got food but together with a dessert which should be consumed cold (but had to wait in hot until main course has been eaten). One of the ordered dishes was grilled (barbecue) meat, but what was served was nothing else than a fried piece of meat. Additionally with no other sliders than a few scraps of lettuce and carrot - I would gladly ordered extra fries or potatoes if I would be informed in prior. Last but not least, espresso in this place is understandi as a coffee from coffee pot (previously made coffee in a beaten pot). So we do not recommend this place, it was completely disappointing. Why 2 out of 5 stars? Because we finally got the food and did...

The worst restaurant ever.

I have never seen such a relationship with guests in my life. We were very hungry and could bring the restaurant a good income. There were two of us, and there was only one free table by the window, but it was for 6 people (although rather there is one table for 4 people, and one table for two people was placed next to it). We came and asked to sit there, they told that me two should go and sit there where there is no view. Because “maybe some big company will come”, but they have big tables too with no view, why we came first to this table and we have to sit somewhere, although the tables for large companies were not by the window, they would have been seated there if necessary. I was confused, because I've never encountered such things in expensive restaurants. I consider such a relationship to be a relationship between places of interest and not restaurants. Then someone came up to us and said that "someone has already booked", we asked how someone have already booked it this table if it was just cleaned from someone who just left. Then he lied that some company had asked him to move to this table from another table. I couldn't stand it and we left there. Who got better from this...

*Location: A very beautiful location atop of the mountain in Tirana. * Food: They have various different dishes to enjoy. The steak with mushroom sauce was nice, but the bread that was served with it was old and hard. The fries were nice and tasted good. *Halal: For muslim patrons, it is not clear which dishes on the menu are halal and not. You have to specifically inquire with the staff to find out what is halal. Sometimes their answer is inconsistent, some staff say it is halal, and another is in doubt. This type of uncertainty is unacceptable when it comes to dietary restrictions - and it would be greatly recommended for the restaurant to improve on this. * Atmosphere: Personally, I am not a big fan of the atmosphere they created: the aesthetic is a cozy wood cabin, but they play loud clubbing music which does not feel appropriate. They have cool window tables with a nice view, but it is extremely crowded and almost not possible to get a table there. * Prices: The prices are normal. I expected it to be more expensive at this location, but it was very okay. * Service: Service was good and the staff is friendly.

Restaurant on the mountain with a great panoramic view. The food was pretty good. It would probably be ok a 5* review if not the service and mess all around. The place was not that busy, around 20 guests at the peak of our visit but after people left, waiters preferred chatting with each other rather than clean up the tables. Napkins were all over the floor, which, let's say is acceptable in a street restaurant, but not in a place like this. To add the bitterness to the visit, one of our dish was forgotten and we waited 50 min for it. It was a traditional one (looks like a pizza with meat inside and a white sauce in the middle) so we thought it might take time. It wouldn't happen if waiter had any interest in his table. When also had to ask twice to pay the bill because the waiter that served us was too busy talking with the kitchen staff and only after his colleague nudged him second time he came to us. I wasn't expecting such experience after seeing so many positive reviews of this place, that's a shame.
