I had a mostly enjoyable experience at the restaurant, with a few standout dishes and a couple of disappointments. Here's a breakdown of the food and overall experience: Food: • Lamb: Absolutely delicious – full of flavor, hot, juicy, and cooked to perfection. • French Fries: Very good – crispy on the outside and soft inside. • Spinach Burek: Fantastic, although a little too salty for my taste. • Salami & Stuffed Peppers with Basterma: Very good – flavorful and well-prepared. • Cheese: Unfortunately, I found it hard and rubbery – not enjoyable. • Zucchini with Yogurt: Too watery – I didn’t like it. • Cornbread with Cream Cheese: Tasted old and was served cold – not good. • Fli: Good – a nice traditional touch. • Green Yogurt Sauce: Just okay – not my favorite, but decent. • Chicken Kebabs: Disappointing – I didn’t like them at all. • Salad: Fresh and good quality – I enjoyed it. • Yogurt Drink: Too watered down – I didn’t like it. •the the dessert was not good.
Atmosphere: • The restaurant theme and atmosphere were amazing – perfect for a special occasion like a wedding anniversary. The venue was very nice. • There’s a great play area for kids, which is a big plus for families. • The tour of the cheese factory and farm was a lovely experience, and I appreciated seeing the vegetables grown for the restaurant. Concern: One major downside to the visit was the pressure from the wait staff to leave a 5-star review. When I mentioned I’d write a review later on my own time, they began asking each person at our table, which felt uncomfortable and inappropriate. A guest should be free to rate their experience honestly and without pressure. Final Thoughts: The food was a mix of excellent and not-so-great dishes. The venue and farm experience were lovely, but the pressure for a high review left a bad impression. I believe honest feedback helps restaurants improve, and guests should never feel forced into giving perfect ratings. I really had high expectations coming from Canada to try the restaurant big fan...
Read moreHotel Charming location with beautiful surroundings. The main building is lovely and the room designs unique. I stayed in one of the little cottages next to the duck pond. Cosy little cottage, but unfortunately the bathroom in my room was not built properly, with the drain in the shower placed so that no water runs into it and instead it floods the bathroom risking running into the bathroom. Hoping they renovate and fix this issue! You must also ask for them to clean the room daily, as they do not do this otherwise. In my case this was necessary if I took a shower, as there was no way to remove all of the water otherwise. Might also be useful to bring earplugs as the ducks in the duck pond outside the cottages are very loud. If you arrive after midnight, make sure to bring a flashlight as they do not light the way to the cottages after this time and the area around there is in complete darkness.
Restaurant Attentive staff, charming interior design and generally good food served in a military style. Some dishes were better than others, the meat was especially good. They cook their food with local ingredients which they grow themselves, including the ducks in the pond. There are very limited options of non alcoholic drinks, but the juices they make are quite good.
All in all a lovely restaurant, and an ok hotel with room for...
Read moreKazerma is a wonderful place to spend time—something truly different from your usual restaurant experience. The atmosphere is unique, and the surroundings are simply beautiful, with nature all around.
When it comes to food, be prepared—they don’t mess around! The portions are so generous, we had to take half of it home. It’s like they put you through military training just to finish your plate!
The real surprise is the military compound nearby, including a small museum. It’s a fascinating touch that adds character to the place. It’s a bit of a shame they don’t have a guide to walk you through it, though—it would make the visit even more meaningful.
In times like these, learning how to handle a Kalashnikov wouldn’t be the worst idea—and here, you almost feel like you're halfway there.
Special thanks to the waiter, Bjorni—friendly, attentive, and a great part of the experience.
All in all, Kazerma is a place where food, history, and nature come together in an unforgettable way. Definitely...
