Turtle Farm Albania — Restaurant in Tirana Municipality

I found Erjan through YouTube and Instagram and just tried my luck and messaged him when I arrived in Albania. This man is a true gentleman. He responded the next day and said he’d pic us up from a shopping mall. We went to his home, the turtle farm, he showed us all around. Minutes away from the hustle and bustle of city life we were transported to the countryside. It was off season and still we were looked after with some of the most amazing home cooked foods (his mothers fantastic cooking). We were able to try his organic wine and olive oil which we purchased a few litres of to take home to the uk. This man is 100% genuine and I wish him all the best in life. He gave us a real good history lesson of Albanian culture. I learnt so so much from him, I have since kept in touch and promise to re visit some day. You will not meet a more honest man. Albania is full of decent humans. Had such a great time in Tirana and people like Erjan made it what it was. Put your trust in them. Go visit this place people, I’m sure you will feel the same vibe. Erjan, thank you if you’re reading this!! I will see you again...

The turtles were sooo cute 🥰. The view and the service were great. Will be visiting again.

Visited this restaurant 2 years ago and had a great experience, giving it 5 stars (as you can understand from my review above) . However, my recent visit was extremely disappointing. Waited for 20-30 mins to order despite calling the waiter multiple times. The tablecloth provided was dirty, and they gave us used bread (I know that it was used because it was THE SAME BREAD we found on the table where we sat after we changed place since they provided a dirty tablecloth) So they basically cleaned the table and bought the bread back after we gave our order. One of the orders was also incorrect. Overall, a terrible experience, changing my rating to 2 stars. Where do i start! We turned up a family of ten, before we sat down the head chef came over to us and sat us on a big table with lots of room in front of the best view we could possibly think of it was surreal, Strait away the chef (Mike) was so passionate about the food that was being cooked at this place that we could not make our mind up on what to order, Mike reassured us and said don't worry i will cook you a little of everything :). OMG i had to tell him to stop bringing it out, it was amazing i wish i went there before my last night because we would of gone back for sure! This whole experience we feel that we owe to the chef mike! Thank you mike for the great food and making this accusation a great memory...
