Love this place!

I’ve been coming here for a long time—at least 15 years—and it never disappoints.

Today I came with my brother in law from the USA.

Today we were served by Lucie (I hope I spelled that right!), a lovely French server who was incredibly friendly and attentive.

We already knew what we wanted: started with the burrata salad, INSANELY tasty, so much so that we ordered it twice. We just couldn’t help ourselves.

For mains, we had the beef steak bavette and the mountain sausage (butifarra), both served with veggies, potatoes, alioli, and Roquefort cheese sauce.

Honestly, words can’t do these meats justice. You have to come and try them for yourself.

Even though I was full, I asked Lucie if she had any recommendations for a local dessert. She suggested the chocolate coulant. I didn’t go for it right away and ordered something else… but it wasn’t what I was expecting, so I ended up getting the coulant like she first recommended. HOLY MOLY—served warm with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce… she was absolutely right. Unreal.

If there were 6 stars, this place would deserve them.

Forever a favorite.

We reeeeally enjoyed the time here, THANK YOU.

My brother in law was amazed with your spot and quality...

First of all the company we spent the evening with we're beyond compare, we are lucky to have such nice friends. Honestly one of the best meals I've eaten in a restaurant, and I do not say this easily. The staff were first class, the food was so well cooked from the kitchen and so well presented by the front of house staff. The quality of the wine and drinks were spot on. I had the breast of duck, the best ever , cooked exactly as I asked for. The levels of hygiene were high. Parking was ample and easily accessible. The prices were moderately high, possibly a bit high, but I left feeling the quality of the the whole experience was worth every cent, plus a tip (which you should always leave if you enjoy your eating experience). Would I go back again ???. YES, without a second thought. So the bottom line is if your not looking for a cheap meal , but some thing really special ( and I should state ,about 40euros per head, which shouldn't break the bank ) this is a great place not to be missed. Please let me know your thoughts on this restaurant , follow or like and I'll try to send more reviews. Cheers and...

3 of us had an amazing Saturday lunch after an appetite-building walk up above Canillo. This was our 3rd visit; this place never disappoints. Generous portions of really well prepared delicious food; our tomato burrata salad for a shared starter was so good with the cheese melting as we cut into it. Meats cooked over an open fire. Buzzy place rammed with diners both inside & out on the sunny terrace (also popular on sunny days in winter as its sheltered!). Friendly, charming staff; Jefferson & Robinson were incredibly helpful & attentive despite it being a busy day with loads of diners. Icy cold beers & a good wine list. The style is ā€œbordaā€ but served with colourful roasted peppers. We had the XXL beef, the veal & the lamb chops. All really excellent. Shared a cheesecake for postre. Everything we’ve eaten at La Sangria has been super good. Be sure to book. Dogs welcome inside & outside; & we recently discovered that our Jack Russell’s mum came from here; so it was great to see Mikey’s grandparents ā˜ŗļø. Thanks La Sangria; we’ll definitely be returning (try...

Upon a recommendation of a host at our hotel we decide to dine here while visiting Andorra. I must say that we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff was friendly and the food was nothing short of amazing. As a family of 5 we all tried something different and we all truly enjoyed each of our meals. Be sure to bring your appetite as the portions are more than generous. Lets just say that you will not leave hungry. As shown in the images both the burger and the duck are very generous portions. Even the deserts were a force to be reconned with. Thank you to this establishment and staff for a truly wonderful dining experience. Should we come back this way again we will make it a point to visit again(with our appetites ready to go)

Lovely Sunday lunch after an appetite-building walk up into Meritxell village & Canillo. Enormous portions; we resisted a starter as we’d seen the sizes of the enormous platters coming out from the kitchen. Meats cooked in an open fire. Buzzy place rammed with diners both inside & out on the sunny terrace (yes, in Feb!). Friendly, charming staff. Icy cold beers & a good wine list. The style is ā€œbordaā€ but served with loads of colorful vegetables (unusual for Andorra!). We had the sausage selection & the lamb chops. Both really excellent. Shared a cheesecake for postre. All super yum. Be sure to book. Dogs welcome! Thanks La Sangria; we’ll definitely be returning.
